Philippines orders ScanEagle drones

Insitu has been awarded a $7.4 million order for ScanEagle UAVs for the Philippines.

Insitu will provide “six ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems, related support equipment, training, site activation, technical services, and data for the government of the Philippines,” according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The contract is scheduled to be completed by July 2019. The contract was awarded by Naval Air Systems Command.

The Philippines also took possession of two Cessna 208B ISR aircraft last month.
