Elbit Systems EW and SIGINT Elisra has unveiled a new anti-drone system.
The ReDrone system is a unique solution for protection of closed airspace, national infrastructure and other critical areas against hostile drones penetrating the protected perimeter.
ReDrone is designed to disrupt a drone's communications with its ground controllers, causing it to veer off its designated course.
"After detecting a target, the ReDrone system disrupts the drone's communication with its operator, blocks its radio and video signals and GPS positioning data, and sends it off track, preventing it from carrying out an attack," an Elbit news release said.
"The ReDrone's open system architecture allows multiple hardware configurations, including an array of controllers and sensors for target detection, tracking and engagement," Elbit said. "The system is also capable of separating a drone's signals from its operator's remote control signals, as well as pinpointing both the drone and the operator's directions."
