American firm QinetiQ North America and Estonia's Milrem have teamed up to produce the Titan unmanned ground vehicle.

The Titan combines Milrem's Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System (THheMIS) with QinetiQ's Tactical Robot Controller and Robotic Appliqué Kit, according to a QinetiQ news release.

Titan runs on a diesel and electric hybrid engine, can carry a heavy load, and can be operated in unmanned or manned modes.

"We are thrilled to partner with QinetiQ NA, a pioneer and technology leader in the unmanned ground vehicle sector," Milrem CEO Kuldar Väärsi said. "QinetiQ North America's well-known and robust control system and Milrem's highly versatile modular vehicle platform combine to create an ideal solution that adapts to any mission, from logistics support to advanced weapon systems."
