The first Global Hawk to begin flying missions over Iraq and Syria hit a milestone earlier this month: It passed 10,000 flight hours, according to a report in Air Force Times.

The RQ-4B, tail number A2019, passed the milestone during a March 8 sortie. The UAV was first deployed to an undisclosed base in southwest Asia in October 2010.

The UAV flies with a Battlefield Airborne Communications Node payload, instead of the usual sensor package.
