L-3 has been awarded a $10.6 million U.S. Special Operations Command contract for laser targeting systems.
Under the three-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, L-3 will provide Advanced Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Lasers, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.
"The Advanced Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Laser is part of the visual augmentation system utilized by the U.S. Special Operations Command to carry out assigned missions," the DoD said. "This system combines the capabilities for visible and infrared lasers for precise weapon aiming and target/area illumination."
The contract was awarded by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in Crane, Indiana.
