Despite being an Army facility, Tobyhanna Army Depot provides service across the joint force. An example of joint systems worked on at Tobyhanna are the TPS-63 medium-range radar and the TPS-59 long-range radar.
Officials told C4ISRNET during a walk through of the facility that these systems leave Tobyhanna in better condition than when they came into be serviced. The entire life cycle of repair — which includes testing of the hardware before it's sent back into the field — of systems is done here at Tobyhanna, officials said. The work done at Tobyhanna, in fact, extends the life cycle of systems past their original timeline.
