GATR also received an order for 36 2.4-meter X- and Ku-band terminals to support the USMC's Radio and Intelligence Battalions. "This USMC HBSI-PT configuration consists of 5 cases (antenna, modem/power, Ku-band, X-band, networking group) weighing under 370 lbs. per terminal," GATR said. "The HBSI-PT has the same performance as a 4,000-lb. Mobile (trailer) Terminal (MT) but packages far below the size of other compact terminals."
The GATR antenna system can be packed in as few as 2 cases, under 100 pounds each, for a single band.
