The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is looking for a C3 system for missile defense of the Gulf states.
The project is intended to fulfill a U.S. pledge made earlier this year to assist the Gulf Cooperation Council member states — Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — with ballistic missile defense.
In the request for information published in FedBizOpps[https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=3abe79516ddd4f2b7adbf96152b27b0d&tab=core&_cview=0], MDA stated that in addition to missile detection and tracking sensors, the agency C3 will "integrate with the six GCC Member State Air Operations Centers (AOCs) and Air Defense Operations Centers (ADOCs) to provide common situational awareness information and sensor data."
The Gulf communication systems must also "provide an interface to exchange information with the USA's Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)," MDA said.
