The Navy on Jan. 25 announced a multi-vendor contract award worth more than $147 million to help run naval enterprise resource planning programs. The contract supports the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center, which handles systems related to IT, business, logistics and more for the service.
Splitting the contract are Accenture Federal Services and CACI Enterprise Solutions from Arlington, Virginia; CGI Federal and ECS Federal from Fairfax, Virginia; Deloitte Consulting from Alexandria, Virginia; IBM from Bethesda, Maryland; Leidos from Reston, Virginia; and Main Sail from Cleveland, Ohio.
According to the announcement, the contact comprises "indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price task orders contract to obtain process improvement, reengineering, management and data support services" that include sustaining NAVSUP's ERP programs.
NAVSUP's Business Systems Center website states that the organization "provides a full array of business consulting services geared toward assisting organizations in the planning, analysis, and implementation of enterprise-wide applications." That includes identifying and recommending IT solutions for their customers, maintaining network infrastructure and developing custom applications, among other services, the site notes.
According to the contract release, "NAVSUP BSC requires process management and data services to support current and future Navy requirements in the areas of data governance and analysis, business process re-engineering and management, and business system engineering and integration."
