The biggest win to date for the Army's efforts to create a common computing environment is the tactical server infrastructure, according to COL Michael Thurston, project manager of Mission Command and Army PEO C3T.

Speaking during a special C4ISR & Networks roundtable discussion, Thurston said there are five program executive offices and 26 programs represented in the command post computing environment, making the task of breaking through compatibility barriers highly complex.
