Elbit secures Asian ISR contract

Elbit has been awarded an $82 million contract to provide ISR technology to an Asia-Pacific nation.

An Elbit news release did not identify the nation. It did say the country would get the Elbit's Condor 2 long-range electro-optical/infrared long-range oblique photography pod.

"The contract, which is a follow-on order from the same customer, will be performed over a four-year period by Elbit Systems' ISTAR Division," the company said. "This Elbit Systems program is being performed in cooperation with ELTA Systems Ltd., who is supplying additional content to the same customer."
