The Navy has awarded two C4ISR contracts totaling nearly $1.7 billion.

Sterling, Virginia-based M.C. Dean Inc. received an $853.8 million contract for installation of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissanceC4ISR systems on surface ships, submarines and shore stations, according to the Department of Defense announcement. Honeywell Technology Solutions, based in Columbia, Maryland, received an $805.2 million contract for similar services.

The work will be performed by Program Executive Office for C4I, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, and other U.S. government and foreign military sales customers. Both contracts are scheduled for completion by February 2019.
