The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency wants public input for choosing the site for its new west campus.

NGA's western headquarters is currently located near the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis, Missouri. For its new site, known as Next NGA West, the Army Corps of Engineers recently released draft environmental impact statements (EIS) for the four potential sites in Missouri and Illinois.

Members of the public can view the preliminary analysis of how construction and new facilities could affect each site and submit comments online at nextNGAwest.com/comment through Nov. 23. The four locations under consideration are:

Earlier this year elected officials in Missouri and Illinois were lobbying for locations within their states. Missouri Sens. Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt pointed out that many NGA West employees already live in Missouri, so keeping the campus in that state would be the least disruptive.

The final EIS and the agency's preference are scheduled to be posted in the federal register in spring 2016.
