The Defense Information Systems Agency's first wave of the

DISA direct storefront

is now live, offering Defense Department users an initial suite of network services expected to expand in the coming months.

Visit the storefront: DISA Direct

At the outset, consumers of DISA's services will be able to purchase online dedicated, sensitive-but-unclassified Internet protocol (IP) data, secret IP data, and commercial satellite communications capabilities.

"DISA storefront is an electronic means to order DISA telecommunication products and services. The intent is to create a single, one-stop shop for all DISA services [and] to provide a more intuitive ordering process with easy-to-understand order descriptions, price alternatives and comparison in real-time," a DISA spokesperson said. "Mission partners will be able to review terms of reference so they can compare offerings to ensure they receive the service they need."

Mobility and telecommunications will be central in the storefront offerings, and will be followed by more than 20 Defense Information Systems Network services, the spokesperson added.

According to a release announcing the initial rollout, the storefront "improves upon DISA direct order entry by providing a request management capability that facilitates faster fulfillment and automated provisioning where possible. Information about the DISA mobility service and emerging telecommunications products and services can be easily discovered, ordered, and tracked through the new application."
