Navy awards Global Information Grid contract

PAR Technology has been awarded a $13.6 million Navy contract to provide Teleport Commercial Satellite Terminal services for the Department of Defense's Global Information Grid (GIG).

Under the contract, which was awarded to PAR subsidiary Rome Research Corporation, PAR will provide teleport services at the GIG facility in facility in Lago Patria, Italy, and other remote locations.

In 2012, Rome Research was awarded a $14.2 million Navy contract to provide telecommunications operations and maintenance services at the GIG facility at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti.
