Singaporean firm ST Electronics has released a satellite communications system for UAVs.
The Agilis system is designed for high altitude long endurance (HALE) unmanned aircraft, according to an ST Electronics news release.
Agilis includes a lightweight, low-power-consumption UAV payload, a handheld terminal, a satellite modem and a mechanical steering antenna.
"With the Agilis brand, we bring to the table broad market expertise in both satellite communications and the ability to customize networks for unique applications," ST Electronics Vice President Rajanik Mark Jayasuriya said. "We are providing the most cost-effective, low latency communication infrastructure for these exciting HALE vehicles being introduced to the market."
