Harris Corp. has been awarded a $26 million contract to provide tactical radios to the special operations forces of a Central Asian nation.

Harris did not identify the nation, but did say the contract includes its RF-7800H-MP wideband HF/VHF tactical Manpack radio, RF-7850S wideband secure personal radio and RF-7850M-HH multiband networking handheld device, according to a company news release.

"The Harris radios will provide the critical, secure voice and data communications required by special operations forces engaged in combat operations," said Harris Communication Systems president Chris Young.
