Marines order more Harris radios

Harris Corp. has received a $36 million Marine Corp contract for tactical radios.

Harris will provide Falcon III AN/PRC-117G multiband networking manpack radios, according to a company news release. The Falcon III AN/PRC-117G is a lightweight radio that can simultaneously communicate video, voice and data.

This award is another step in helping the Marine Corps expand the application of wideband tactical networking, said Brendan O'Connell, president of tactical communications for Harris Communication Systems.
