Norway is buying underwater robot minehunters.

Under the contract with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency, Kongsberg Maritime will supply four HUGIN autonomous underwater vehicles to detect, classify and identify mines, according to a Kongsberg news release

The HUGINs, which can dive to 9,800 feet, will be equipped with advanced minehunting sensors, Kongberg said. "The deliveries include systems for planning, execution and analysis of missions, and launch and recovery systems both for the Navy's mine hunting vessels, as well as in mobile containers."
