BlackSky to develop cloud-based GEOINT

BlackSky has been awarded a $16.4 million Air Force contract to develop a cloud-based GEOINT broker platform.

Under the two-year contract, BlackSky will provide a platform to provide “on-demand analytics, collection and information services from global data sources,” according to a company news release.

“BlackSky is proud to have the opportunity to partner with the Air Force and U.S. government stakeholders on the development of leading-edge anticipatory analytics and commercial GEOINT brokering capabilities,” said BlackSky CTO Brian O’Toole. “Easy access and streamlined delivery of timely and relevant insights about our changing world is essential to faster and more informed decision making. The BlackSky platform combined with our world-class solutions team is proving to be a key enabler for accelerating our customers’ success.”
