Harris Corp. has unveiled a new secure radio.
The Falcon III RF-7850S Secure Personal Radio (SPR) succeeds the RF-7800S SPR Team Radio, with more power, greater waveform and more flexibility, according to a Harris news release.
"The new radio expands Harris' next-generation Falcon III radio family, which now covers every tier of the battlefield, from handhelds at the tactical edge to vehicular and airborne communications," Harris said.
"We can now offer our customers a common user experience across each tactical tier of the battlefield," said Matt Nearpass, director of product management for the global networking products division of Harris' Communication Systems department. "Leveraging our product family approach and the interoperability it provides offers tremendous value to our customers — one platform, seven products."
